I know a guy who has ordered a GT500 and he told me that it had been built, but was being shipped to Las Vegas to Shelby and after that it was being shipped enclosed hauler to the dealership. I know for a fact shelby GT'S, KR's and Super Snakes are shipped to Shelby, but I don't know bout GT500's. Therefore I have these questions, guys.

Are regular GT500's shipped to Las Vegas after leaving Flat Rock??

Are they shipped by enclosed carrier?

Well, if its being converted/built as an SS, I am almost sure it would have to come to the dealership first and be delivered to the customer. The SS option from Shelby is a post delivery build - not pre-delivery.

It's not being converted it's a regular GT500.

 

Strange - no reason for it to make a stop at the Shelby facility then. The GT500s (and KR's) are built in a Ford facility - never touched by SAI.

But I guess that would only be on 2007s and sounds like he ordered a 2008. Nope can't think of why it would go to Vegas.

 

Only the Super Snakes, Shelby GT and Hertz are coverted there.

 

That's what I figured, he's one of these types that try to make things seem more than they are. I think he started this when another guy in town was talking bout having his sent to be a Super Snake.

 

I'm pretty sure that they recently announced that the KR's area going to be made at SAI now.

I did'nt say buddy he's just a acquaintance!!

 

This car arrived at the dealership a few minutes ago and it did not go to Vegas. It was also delivered by regular convoy carrier, just like I thought. He was trying to make it something it was'nt. Just like another guy in my town who has a Shelby GT who tells everyone its a GT500. He even removed the fender emblems and others and put GT500 Cobra emblems on it!! He even tells people it's supercharged.
