Whelp she finally arrived monday, and in following the grand tradition of The Mustang Source it was pouring rain

The only issue I had on delivery was that I specifically told them no dealer emblems and no front plate, well they put a front plate on. In the grand scheme of things, its something I can live with. Car was purchased at x-plan, cost was umm 24,8xx cant remember the specific amount.

Anyways I was able to snap a pic at lunch (borrowed a friends digital camera) and here it is.

Car specs are..

Deluxe GT
IUP
Leather seats
Spoiler delete
Active anti theft
Side airbags
Wheel locks
5 speed manual transmission

I am having a custom stereo added next Monday, and will be adding the custom vinyl striping and custom rims next week as well as the window tint. Hopefully shoud be able to get pics up ASAP.

Pretty cool to be part of *the club* now

Beautifull car. I think the Yellow looks perfect the exact way you got it. I prefer the upgraded wheels on almost every car but yours is one of the few exceptions for me. Nice work!

Looks good, kinda funny on how many people are complimenting the wheels since he is getting rid of them next week.

One of the few pics I've seen with Spoiler Delete, a much cleaner look IMO. That's how mine will be, same wheels but my color will be Lime or White. Haven't decided. Also will be dropping mine 1-2", like I did shortly after getting my 89 5.0 LX new. Can't wait to see what rims you'll be putting on your '05.

she looks fantastic,

I would have chewed the dealer out for installing the front plate.

Front plates are required here, so it does not affect me, but if it did, I certainly would make sure that it was in writing not to install it.

They are required in his home state of Texas as well, its probably just an automatic thing at dealers in two plate states, when a new car comes in, put a front plate bracket on it.

Yea, its required here in Texas. I was just gonna go without one and see if I could get away with it, but in the end I would have probably had it done anyways, so thats why I didnt make a huge deal of it.

SHE is my car, I am a HE btw

It is an automatic thing, but you can request that they don't install the front bracket (actually...what bracket? Its just two screws).

I've spoken with a couple of dealers in the Fort Worth area, and neither of them had any issues if I requested to not have the front plate installed.

Any way...there's several threads on this topic already...

Again, nice car!

I can just see how easy it can be for it to be put on anyway, you tell your salesman to not put it on there, he rights it down somewhere, on your order perhaps, the car could come on his day off, the guys in the back that prep the car may not have access to the paper that has the request on it, a lot of things that could result in your request not getting fulfilled.
