A shave, some cold air and a tune.
My Ford Racing Bullet CAI and SCT tuner came in yesterday. I took the day off and did some overdue work on my car. First... I've been wanting to shave the excess plastic from my CDC Shaker and since I had to remove it to install the CAI I figured now would be a good time to do that. So here is some pics of the final install.

Now I just have to figure out how to get the cold air out from the CDC Shaker to the CAI. I'm working on that but if anyone has any ideas feel free to express them.
I then added the Bama 87 Street Tune and was impressed.... but not WOW'd!
I have a few questions...
1. If I have the 87S tune and I want to go to the 92R tune should I go back to the stock tune and then upgrade to the 92?
2. If I have a tank full of 87 octane how far should the tank deplete to the point of refilling with 92 octane that it's considered 92 octane?

Y'know, I'd find a nice piece of black silicon hose that I could put a clamp on the shaker end and feed through to a hole drilled in the other end then add some sort of ring to the outside diameter, fold the hose over and clamp it again leaving a bit of play. I'd make the hole in the cold air box a bit oversize and add some padding to prevent wear on the hose connecting the whoel affair.
My only question would be if the shaker feeding air to the box would cause any problems with the MAF signal?

I don't think the shaker feeding the air box is going to cause any problems. It didn't with the original air box. Thanks for the response... I've some things in the making and I'll post some updated pics.

It went to the bottom of the original airbox. Under the air filter. It was a hole that was cut into the original air box when the CDC Shaker was installed.

So originally that air didn't go through the filter at all? Seems odd...
I'm thinking do a similar pattern here, ducted underneath so if you don't like it or pull it eventually the mod to the air intake tray wouldn't be so obvious. And I'd guess little air comes into the under/backside of the filter anyhow.
