Shaker question
#1
I feel like an idiot with my Shaker 1000. I'm trying to shuffle with the 6 disks but when I turn shuffle on, it only shuffles between the songs on the currently playing disk. How do you make it shuffle between all the disks? I couldn't find an answer to this in the owners manual.

It does do it hit shuffle a second time....and the player reads ahead so there is not a ten second wait b/n songs

While were on the subject of the Shaker audio system, I'm wondering if people who recently took delivery of their vehicles are experiencing problems like those earlier in the production year. I think songs were skipping, stopping, etc.

I recieved mine towards the end of January and every now and then my CD will skip but it goes right back to where it left off and plays as it should...its somewhat annoying but isn't aggervating enough to get a new head unit and risk it being worse than the one i have now.

My service department manager advised me that the 1000 system manufacturer is swamped with 1000 problems. They (dealer) are waiting on mine and two other mustang radio replacements. A new radio was received in early Feb and installed in my GT.... It never made it off the lot because the new radio had the same problem(skipping/changing tracks and songs) as my original (which they re-installed). When I went to pick up my car they told me that the new radio was suffering from the same problems as the one installed in her at the factory.
I have not heard of a recall... yet.
I have to give the service dep at my dealership credit. They have bent over backwards to assist me on every problem that I have had.. Most have been minor adjustments
Yes I am keeping DETAILED records...Kind of a history book if you will.
Fanatic?...no
Love my car

If you need some info on any of my problems or just want to compare notes, shoot me a PM

Hit shuffle once=shuffle between songs on currently playing disk.
Hit shuffle again=shuffle between all disks
Hit shuffle again=turns shuffle off

When I hit shuffle, it says shuffle on and then when I hit it again, it says shuffle off. Has anyone gotten their Shaker to shuffle between all of the disks? Either one of 3 things is happening: 1. I don't know what I'm doing, 2. It can't do it. or 3. I've got a bad Shaker and need it replaced.

Somebody has to be able to answer this! Is it possible for the Shaker to shuffle between more than 1 disk and if so, how do you tell it to shuffle beyond just the disk it's currently playing?

Don't have my car with the Shaker yet, but, try hitting the shuffle button before you start playing a cd or try hitting it twice to see what it says.
Try doing it while there are no discs in the radio.
Hit CD button and when it reads "no disc" hit shuffle and see what happens. If it says shuffle songs then hit it again to see if it will say shuffle discs.
Just taking a shot at it.
Good luck!

I was hoping the answer to your question was YES. That would have been a nice feature.

I just went out and tried this on my system. My shaker 1000 shuffle button is on or off. Doesn't matter how many times you push it. Display says "SHUFFLE ON" or "SHUFFLE OFF"

Here's the solution to your problem.
Take your 6 CD's and rip them to mp3's. Save each CD in a different folder.
Use a program that names them numerically.. or mannually change it (01 - Artist - Song.mp3) It sorts the songs alphabetically so if they're named 01, 02, etc. it will use the correct order.
Play the MP3 disc in the Shaker 500/1000 system. Turn SHUFFLE on.
If the unit is set to FOLDER mode it will shuffle through songs 1-X within a particular folder/CD.
If the unit is set to TRACK mode it will randomly shuffle through the entire disc. (All folders/CD's)
I had been fitting around 10 192 kbs quality mp3 CD's on one disc. That's over 100-120 songs.
Even if it were quicker, why in the world would you want your CD player to mechanically switch discs ever song when you can do it this way? It's pretty sweet. With the cost of a CD being in the pennys... you can burn a disc with 10 CD's.... play it for a week or two... and just burn a new one when you get sick of it.
