shaker control lights and ipod questions
OK, I just got my car out of winter storage Friday!
Great to drive her again. Washed and waxed on Saturday as we had a sunny day here. I just got to work so I don't have time to look at the owners manual till I get home. So here's the thing; while driving here in the dark none of the shaker control buttons (search, station pre-sets, etc.) were lit up, only the display screen. They should be right? I know this sounds crazy but after not driving it for 3 1/2 months I don't remember them not being lit. The battery did drain and I charged it up to get it going. Did that do something?
The other thing is I can't figure out how to get the shaker to the "line in" mode to play the ipod through it. Seems I remember using the "aux" button and maybe the up/down arrow buttons to get there? I don't remember and in my 2-3 minutes of fumbling with it this morning I couldn't figure it out. Can any of you shed some "light" on these issues for me? Thanks

If the button lights are not lit, its a programming error. If the battery died and was left discharged for some time, the radio could have lost its programming. Should not but they do.
The line in is accesses through the AUX button. But again, if the unit lost programming, the line input will not function.
Looks like a trip to the dealer for reprogramming by thier Visteon rep. Call before you go so you can be there when the rep comes by.

Thanks for the info. You're right, shouldn't lose those things for the battery being dead. Seams a bummer and a little bit of a hassle to have to go back to the dealer to get it straightened out.
