For those who have been having problems with your shaker 500 and 1000 units with anything it at all, its gonna be a while before you get a replacement. Took mine to the shop today, got my baby her first oil change and to fix the CD Player. Guy told me, he called Ford and they have like 25-35 radios on back-order cause they stopped working. He said there will probably be more defective radio's in some of the Mustangs. Told me I'd have an ETA of a new radio about 2-3 weeks. Anyone else who is getting their radio fixed is probably going to get the same answer, 2-3 weeks for a new radio. I thought I'd share that for those who have been having problems with the Shaker system......

I have a shaker 500, it skips ever so often, not really a skip but a quick rewind, then continues playing normally. I figgured maybe it was due to cd-r's. I tried the origional copy, same deal. So I thought no biggie wont sweat it till my first oil change. Today it stopped functioning all together. The volume **** did nothing, the display showed ample volume but no sound was comming out, and none of the other buttons functioned either. A short time later the ***** started working again and it worked normally.
Anyone else having this problem? I read someone was having the skipping issue also. Just hoping I don't have to hassle with trying to demonstrate the problem to the dealership, because it isnt a constant thing. But if alot of others have had similar problems they may just take my word for it and order a new unit.
No biggie, still love the car, was actually wondering when I bought it why they would put such a loud stereo in such a great sounding car.
