If I've got a album that's been mastered for continuous play (Floyd springs to mind) I just rip the entire disc to a single mp3 track and play that. Works first time, every time.

Just had my Shaker HU replaced yesterday. The new one still puts gaps in the continuous CDs. I'm used to it by now, but I don't understand how Delphi could put out such a poorly engineered product.

Me either. And the thing is, unless they were completely idiotic in the design, it should be completely a firmware issue. No hardware has to be changed.

Do you know if you got the 07 Shaker?

I agree...the firmware should fix it, but people need to complain to Delphi directly. I got the '05-06 Shaker. I saw the '07 Shaker yesterday on the California Special my dealer just received and there were some different buttons on it.

I'm going to find an '07 Shaker and see if it does the same thing. If not, will try to get dealer to give me a swap under warranty.

Heading on vacation for a week tomorrow, but when I get back will try the Delphi route. I know burning the albums I have that are gapless as one long mp3 track will work, but would rather have a proper functioning piece if it exists.
