No offense dude as this may be legitimate but you just joined the site today, made one post but "you like this site". Im thinking this is one of those Ebay scams. We just saw it in regards to the supercharger that came off a guys car he claimed. Problem was the car he claimed to own was an actual TMS forum member and the tool got caught. I smell another one here.

Ummm. I have been lead to believe that 05+ stangs will take this head unit without having to buy a wiring harness. Granted the shaker 500 systems do not have the subwoofers in the trunk but, I'm pretty sure the deck (shaker 1000) is a straight swap without the need to change any wiring (as long as you dont want the stock subs in the trunk). I know, since negativity is the way to go here, that someone is going to say "why swap a 500 for a 1000 without the subs in the trunk, its the same system without the subs....yada yada" and the answer is I don't know. Maybe someone got one of those cheesy ones that skips or broke it or something. All I'm saying is if someone wants one, I have one I dont need.

 

And as far as me being a scammer....I want whoever buys it to use paypal to buy it (insurance against fraudulant sellers). I'm not out to stiff anyone, just get rid of something thats gonna sit in my garage if I don't sell it. I appreciate people who look out for other people getting scammed (I got scammed on a laptop), but ask questions before automatically assuming I'm a thief. On the contrary, I think we should be more like the middle eastern countries and cut thiefs hands off, but thats just me i guess.

 

basically to find someone who will sell all that is hard to find because alot of other wire are connected to that bundle, i know the taillight wires are in the stereo bundle that goes to the trunk and i think someone said that there is another horn in the trunk for the upgraded alarm which means that is in the bundle too. To sell all the wiring for the subs and head unit would mean that they are losing all there speakers, the factory wiring for adding an aftermarket unit, their factory subs, and factory amps even the ones to power the normal speakers because if i am correct i think 1 of the 4 amps in the trunk controls the normal speakers while another controls the door subs and then the remaining control the two trunk subs. i think fords way of making the best of the space and the heavy bracket made for the amps that connect to the rear subs. I think the shaker 500 has the amp behind one of the kick panels.

 

Dan as I said I may be wrong and it looks like I am. Unfortunately there are so many POS scammers out there that your post looks alot like how they would post something for sale. The internet has alot of great featuers and alot of bad. The good old days of face to face dealings with people were alot less hassle IMO. Anyway good luck with the sale. I completely agree. Thieves are just my biggest pet peeve. Funny story....I got scammed on a laptop off eaby a few months ago. I paid the guy via paypal (thank god, got my money back) and never got the laptop. So after I got my money back I sent the guy a nice email with his own address, phone number, place he graduated from, etc. and suggested locking his door to be a "good idea". I never had any intention of flying to NJ but I probably scared the hell out of the fella. Good stuff.
