I went to the Oklahoma City mixing yard today and saw my car before it went to the dealer. The guy at the yard said a lot of the shaker 1000's are making a noise after the car is turned off and the noise continues. He said it sounds like its trying to eject a cd. It continues to do this until the battery runs down. He said two techs are coming from Ford tomorrow to look at them. Glad I have a shaker 500.

I don't think this is specific to the shaker 1k. I believe it's been reported as happening on the 500 head units also.

I just hope this will get Ford to go to another manufacturer. Alpine, Pioneer, Panasonic, Kenwood all do OEM units, and these Delphi's are plain awful.
