I ordered my GT on september 6 and the dealer has no other info than that. I saw the DORA with the abbriviated vin # yesterday but no scheduled build date or anything.

Has any one else that ordered around that time received any status on there order? Just curious!!!

Doesn't that make you mad. I saw someone post with a 7/30 order date and they have a build date of 10/4.

How do newer orders get a build date before older orders?

I'm in the same boat. I ordered mine on 6/26, but the dealer didn't submit until 7/1, and I still don't have a VIN. Needless to say, I'm just a bit P.O.'d

I think some dealerships just don't submit orders even when they can... I recall that dealerships can submit orders 2 or 4 times per month only, so if it's two and they miss the deadline, time is not on our sides...

ordered mine august 18, and dealer called me september 16 to confirm my options

I ordered 8/9 and don't even have a DORA, but the manager of the dealer I went to said they sent the order in the day after I ordered it... They just don't know when it's going to be built yet. They're expecting it to arrive at the dealer in mid-Oct now.

Has anyone else ordered before 6/28 and not received a VIN or build date yet...

I have seen my dealers daily order sheet with 5 mustangs that they have on order, (mine being the only cutomer order and dated 6/28)?

I ordered mine on 8/13. The dealer called back and said that Ford had asked me what color to accent the red leather. So I know he put the order in, but have no build date, I'm "clean and unscheduled" (according to 'Randy', if that's his real name)

I ordered mine on June 23rd. I had called the dealership last week to see if they had a build date yet. They called me this morning and told me still no Vin # or Build date yet. He did tell me the second GT he ordered for his lot did have a build date of 9-28. He put a priority 10 on his GT and a priority 40 on mine. He told me he had ordered a few V6's also. My GT had better come in before the V6's or I will not be very happy.

All I know is that I ordered mine on 6/14 and less then a week ago he got an order number in. He still can't tell me the build/bucked date or my VIN. He did tell me that he will be getting 2 05's and mine will be one of them. The other is a A-planner like me, and he was able to give me a "don't hold me to the penny" estimate of my total A-plan price. I really would love to know the actual build date. Maybe there is one for some of us, but for some reason our salesmen don't know about it?

I'm holding my pink retail order form for dear life and dreaming.

Oh MY GOD. I just noticed that he wrote the date as 6/14/02!!! No joke!
I'd better be getting mine soon! HAHAHA!

Darn, I signed it as 04'.

This just cracks me up, it's like we're all 12 years old again, and it's the week before Christmas. <3

That was me. What priority did your dealer enter the order. Mine was 10. Also, it was an a plan order.

If it makes you feel any better, I got bumped to 10/11 when I added active anti-theft to my order. :bang:

I really don't think just because you added the AAT, I think a lot of us got bumped to later dates for other reasons we most likely :nono: will never know.

UHHH, red.

I am confused. Doesn't Ford know what color the accents are? Isn't there only Red accents?
