I remember that vid Amy! Those were exciting times. And now, after watching all the members here take deliver over the past nine months, I finally put in my order today! I'm getting excited all over again.

I started taking Mustang pics and videos of it because on other forums (not this one.. I was a lurker on here before I posted that vid).. people would be like.. "you're lying.. you have not seen an 05 Mustang out on the street.. blah blah blah.. I want proof." Ok.. sure.. no problem

No matter how many times I'd explain to them the area that I live in is filled with Ford buildings and suppliers and that these are pre-production cars used for testing (silly people thinking that they didn't start building 05 Mustangs until late Septembet haha.. they have to test them before they actually sell them to people.. atleast.. you'd hope a company would )

Just wish I kept taping. The rest of what happened was just hilarious. Her getting really pissed about it.. me trying to explain to her that I'm doing nothing wrong, you're on a public street.. that "Mustang" is fair game.

I tried to park in a spot.. she cut me off and we were nose to nose hahaha it was nuts. I thought I was gonna get hit by a test mule.

BTW... My friend Melanie is in the car with me.. so I'm not the only one giggling :shock:

We all loved your updates, Amy. I kinda miss those days. You and TMS brought it all to us months before the magazines could.

That's funny! hadn't seen that before.

 

They already have been, but I keep missing them. Except for the black on that was at Roush in Allen Park.. I snagged that one back in January just before the NAIAS. Sent it to Brenda Priddy, but she had already snagged a spy shot of the red one, that was seen in AutoWeek.

I keep missing the red vert, the legend lime, the yellow w/ silver stripes and the blue one with white stripes... but I also haven't been out and about much.

DUDE.... the day before I took that video was when I followed her in a really early mule of a vert.. with no camera :bang: I followed her for over 50 miles and was really close to the Ohio border haha I remember calling you and Sarah and you guys had web updates hahaha..

Are you talking about the GT / Shelby mules or actual preproduction Shelby's? I mean one's that have all the Shelby extras on them.

 

thats pretty good... you seem to always capture spy photos of the mustang wherever you go. should have told that lady you loved her chameleon paint job and asked her where she got it done.

That's the first I've seen of that video, Amy. Well done. I think I tried watching it before, but all I got was audio. Teaser! Glad I got to see it. Sounds like you and your friend enjoyed yourselves.

I'm surprised that the woman test driving the car wasn't friendly. Like, what's her problem? I'd be in a great mood if Ford paid me to drive around a prototype, and I'd want to represent the company in the best possible light by expressing appreciation for interest in the product. She should be canned. :notnice:

 

Thanks for the memories... I remember hounding you for videos to carry me over 'til my car came in... You made the wait seem shorter.

 

Ya...that was great. The excitement of wanting that peek of the car, since we all barely had a taste at the car shows.
