Hi, somehow I got 3 quarter inch scratches in the aluminum part of my steering wheel when I was moving my key towards the ignition. Is there any way to get just that piece? It's the piece that goes around the RES - SET + buttons.

Thanks,
Tony

I've got a few also, one from my watch somehow and one from my knife getting out of my car (clip outside of pocket)..... I'm sure they won't buff out, It's a car I'll get a few scratches anyway.

I had scratched mine also. I now always wear driving gloves and keep all sharp items away from it.

There are a lot of little scratches showing up in our new Mustangs. Someone could make a lot of money selling seperate aftermarket replacement parts.

I think you might be able to get those steering wheel parts.ask Kevin.
On the same note, those cheap door panels near the inner window are pieces of CRAP

Yeah, I got some scratches on the black walls by the back seats. I think it happened when people have gotten in and out of the back seats. I also got a couple by where u insert the key. As far as on the walls and doors, can something be done to take them out or at least clean them up so they look better?

Inserts for the steering wheel aluminum spokes are available separately from the wheel assy. They just snap into place-pm or email Kevin at Clevenger Ford for pricing and availability.

Hrrm, that's interesting. My wheel was scratched upon delivery and the dealer said they would have to replace the entire wheel - which they did.

The question is how long ago...the parts to replace the spokes became available in October or November of 2005-Ford put out what they call a Warranty Action Notice regarding wheel replacement due to damage of the aluminum spokes, apparently replacing the wheel caused for too much expense...imagine that!!

Cool info. Mine came off the dealer's lot with a tiny dent in one of the aluminum spokes. I didn't notice til the next day cuz I was too excited about the car. Too late to get the dealer to replace it. Oh well. Least I know where to get one now cuz that little dent bugs me.

Anyone get price on those parts?

The other part that bugs me is the rubber hand grip on the ebrake lever. It started out with little scratches on it and my ring has made more. I saw a cool aluminum one on a website once...probably get one of those.

Check out the MGW e-brake handle cover. Their site is at www.mgwltd.com. Their parts are always first class.

That would explain it - this was last May shortly after I got the car.
