Saleen owners please help

For those of you who owns a 2005+ Saleen what do you use for lift your car ?

The skirts on the Saleen's is making unusable the originals lifting points under the rocker panels (where the indents are). The spacers and pins would probably break if you jack from there.

Was Saleen providing instructions for altenate lifting points ?

Thanks,

I have a very thick piece of pliable rubber i use on the jackpoints. I have to drive the car up on 2x4's to get it high enough to be able to move the lift arms under it. It is a real pain in the ***!!!

I'm in the process of finishing a 4 wheel ramp setup. When complete it will raise the entire car 9" and is in enough pieces to leave just a 7 1/2" x 12" pillar under each wheel. I built it out of standard lumber and have maybe $50 involved plus a couple of days worth of work. I won't get home to finsh this up for another couple of weeks, however.

Since I bought the car I've used a 2x4 assembly to get the car up far enough to get a jack under it. I cut a standard 8 footer into six pieces (2 each of 8", 16" and 24") and stacked them up to get 4 1/2" in the air. I just bought a pile of stuff (TR6060, 3.73's, Watts link, subframe connectors and both adjustable bars), so I'm going to be under the car quite a bit in the near future.

I had never tried using the stock jack until recently, and with the side skirts you can't use it with the original handle. I ground off the 'nubs' that hold it in place and then you can use a socket wrench to work the jack. That would only be for road emergencies, but it would suck to be in that situation and then find out you can't jack the car!

I'm not sure I understand this one...

You took off something out of the jack or the skirts ?

Fred, please tell me you are going to use jackstands and not rely on 2x4's.

Not 2x4's, 2x8's stacked solid. If my car can crush those, jack stands don't have a chance.

Grind the 'nubs' off the jack handle so it can be removed from the jack, thereby giving a socket enough clearance to actually sit on the hex surface of the jack screw. The jack can then be used in the original jack points.

The race ramps are very nice - and very expensive. Too bad they only pick up one end of the vehicle. The front spoiler just barely clears the current stack of 2x4's that I use, so it would really suck to spend that much on ramps to find out they don't clear.
