I just talked by phone to a Saleen person in CA. He said he is 98% certain that the 2005 Saleen Mustang will be shown at their annual car show and open house Sept. 18th in Irving. However, he said the car will be inside and no cameras of any kind will be allowed, including camera phones. He also said they will go public with the car in early to mid October. It will be shown at the Anaheim International Aoto Show in mid October. The car also will be displayed at SEMA. There will be a normally aspirated and supercharged version. Unlike Roush, the supercharged car will be available from the "git go".

 

I hope the show date is the 18th. From what ive read a lot of people are looking forward to it, i know i am.

 

that'll be interesting to see. hopefully saleen will pull something nice outta the hat.

note: don't look at roush for pointers. lol.

guess we'll have to wait until mid october to see what they've got.

You know somebody will sneak in their camera phone. Whether it makes it on the interent is another story.. Hopefully though I don't like waiting for anything lol

I imagine it will be similar or on the same lines as the roush mustang. I think this rouch looks more like a saleen than anything. I kinda hate to see what the saleen will look like.

steeda looks pretty good...color changing running pony is a touch i would have to get used to though

 

Hopefully, saleen won't screw this one up bad like roush did 'cuz i've always been a big fan of roush and after seeing their pic on their site i just wanted to :cry: Roush seriously fumbled the ball here 'cuz i've like them due to their racy, yet subtle and classy appearance, but after seeing their 05, i seriously doubt it will have any success. However, since its just a crappy photochop, one could only hope they will redesign it.
On another note...I've also loved saleens cuz of their exotic looking appearances, like the current gen stangs. Ive seen a few bad photochops of 05 saleens and they really don't float my boat. It kinda looks (sorry to say this) a bit "ricy" IMO. They just don't look right with all those scoops and vents on a retro-looking car.
As far as the Steeda's, I've been seeing them alot on magazines like MM&FF and 5.0mustangs and super fords and they look awesome. Subtle, but racy.
If I were to get a body kit for the 05, it would most definetly look killer IMO.

Sounds like some one needs to pull off some mission impossible like manuevers, drop in from the ventilation system and snap a bunch of pictures then disappear in a fireman outfit.

The steeda does look good. I can't help but wonder what the spoiler haters will think of it though. I bet there won't be a spoiler delete option on the steeda

 

I may not go with a Steeda wing, but their suspension componets are the best in the business by FAR. Most likely I will get a steeda chin spoiler and a ducktail from somewhere and stripe it. Saleen hardly engineers anything, they spend almost all their time with fiberglass. I see 50k saleens with the only suspension mods being 200 bucks in springs, no control arms, no camber plates, braces, nothing. 50k for a bolt-on supercharger(and nothing trick like Roushes front bracing) springs and a body kit. :notnice: Steeda is the shiznit.
