Ok I haven't seen this on here BUT anyone else finding rust spots when you open the door along the bottom of the door frame? I opened my passengers door this a.m. to get something out and there were 5 small spots... Upon closer quick inspection, its rust!!!??? WTFFFFFF???? This is a new car! Where would rust be coming from? Didn't have a lot of time to investigate this a.m. Will look more closely tonight.

Are they tiny little specs of rust?

Might be embedded metal (like raildust) that is rusting...
Claybar will take them out.

I agree. Try a claybar and see if it comes off. Don't panic just yet.

Got pics so we can see what your talking about?

I know on my other car, I had rusting rail dust....its not the actual metal, but the crap embedded in the paint that started rusting.
If you can pull it outta the paint (ie: Claybar) then no worries.

I have had the dreaded rail dust on a white truck before as well. Took it back to the dealer...twice..and they finally got rid of it.

I think all the car companies have had rail dust problems as I have heard, I talked to someone the other day and their chevy truck had to be buffed all over because of it. I had a few spots on my 2002 150 but wax removed mine. Those pieces of metal are really hot and stick to the clearcoat get wet and rust but they are above the paint and it is any easy fix, however scary when you first see it.

Wonder if Toyota or Nissan have this problem. They among others have domestic production and must ship via rail as well you would think. Sounds like Ford needs to invest more heavily in protect the product methods. I know its a high line item but ever see an Audi at delivery to the dealer. They come completely covered. Think I've even seen Vee Dubs treated in this matter. Its an added cost but worth it from a quality and customer satisfaction standpoint. Those are the two issues primarily responsible for declining market share on the part of the domestics I believe.

They wiped off pretty easy... It looked like it was rust that ran out of the door or something. It was like water spots that were redish w/ specks in it. If I get more... I'll takes pics and post. Thanks all!
