RMA'ed Predator now original tune is gone!
I sent my predator in because I had the R35 issue where the boot loader would get corrupted. Then it would not display after that. So I was not able to put my original tune back on before I sent in the predator. So I get my predator back today(even after I tell them my original tune is in the car!!) and my original stock tune is gone...What am I to do?
Thats why I haven't updated mine yet. I am still using R28. Is this a widespread problem with the new revision?Good luck to you and be sure to post when you get it taken care of. If you have a BAMA Tune in your Predator you could probably contact Doug for some help. And if you don't have a Bama tune, you should, it is amazing!!
I do have a bama tune, Doug is awesome, but I need to flash my car back to stock and get it in a sock state before I start flashing it again.
Also yes, the issue is a problem in the boot loader of R35, it can corrupt the boot loader and cause the predator not to start up.
So I sent mine in for the fix and it came back with no stock tune.

I was at a Ford dealer the other day, inquiring about how their service department viewed modifications. They turned out to be pretty cool about it, but the service manager told me something interesting. He said that the new Mustang computer is so smart that it will reset itself back to factory specs over time. He said that you really notice a hp bump when you flash it, but over about three months it automatically goes back to stock. You don't notice it because it does it so gradually. He recommended that if I wanted to add a tune to my computer, I should re-flash it around every oil change to keep the aftermarket tune fresh. But put it back to stock for warranty work! He also said that getting a CAI without a tune was no problem. Just ignore the CEL and it will reset itself and work just fine. Whaddaya think? Is he correct?
(He says this is from his own experience and then he offered to add a fully warranted Roush supercharger for 8 grand. He said he installed them regularly and maintained factory warranty.)

Can't be correct. If he was, all highly modded cars with significantly changed constants, scalars and tables would eventually run bad (if at all) as the PCM gradually returned to stock values.
