Our weekend paper had an article about Chevrolet rewarding customers who placed early orders for their new Cobalt coupe/sedan. They are giving those folks small add-ons to the car, from a spoiler up to XM Radio and a sun roof. I can't help to wonder if Ford is up to something similar. They have been so quiet !

Here is a link to a similar story:

Well, I guess your local Ford dealers aren't running the Midwest deal: "A Focus and a Dell, a Focus and a Dell!" (You get a "FREE" Dell LCD television with your purchase of a Ford Focus)

No gimmick here! lol

The auto manufacturer itself is not behind giveaway or freebie add-on promotions. These are done by the dealer as a promotion to get foot traffic into their dealership.

Besides that, the Cobalt doesn't look like it has had lots of interest yet, nor have I seen any dedicated sites, or owner loyalty looking for the new Cobalt. The Mustang will sell itself, unless the reviews and safety ratings are poor.
