I think we have seen too many stories of early adopters getting the shaft. Your order has been placed, pricing was not available, you get to the dealer and wham, thousands over MSRP. The dealer could have told you up front. But that would be too honorable.

It is a free country, and you cannot legislate being decent.

Well, at least we can identify for other purchasers - - those purchasers down the line, for the rest of the Model year those Ford Dealers who have short term vision.

Many of us are multiple Ford owners.....decent dealer behavior transfers to our future purchases AND service of our F150's, Explorers, etc.

Let's keep the thread informational, only. Please, no comments, no congrats or comments on other people's experience. Just the Facts, ma'am.

List your.....

State (use abbreviation.... for searching)

Dealer name.

Thumbsup or thumbsdown. (spell like this for easy searching)

A couple of sentences of what went well or poorly
.

Please keep the emotions out, and present the information fairly. If you want to recommend a salesperson in a positive light, go ahead. Let's not trash any one person, however.

Mods, if you feel appropriate to sticky, please do so.

Nice, patient, good customer service!
Deal was MSRP but I am getting it at 4% above dealer price instead of MSRP

One word-Jackass. One more word, lured me in with good price, treated me badly. VERY badly, made me feel 3 inches tall in front of my kids I may add. I hate them.

Thumbs DOWN!
Strung me along with an 04 for invoice(I did mention it was a comp orange Gt?), sent me off to vacation thinking I was coming home to sign, apparently sold car for sticker while I was out, when I came back I was unapproved. Funny, I got approved through town and country through the company Townsend unapproved me with.

Great guy - No hassle.
Gives stangs away at invoice plus 100 bucks for his own processing fees.
No catch.

TN - Memphis
Landers Ford

Says they'll beat the above listed price.
About to head out there -- we'll see if they do a better job -- if they do I am ordering today.

THE GOOD
TN (memphis area)
Lewis Ford
Good price
Not too sleazy
Fairly easy to work with

MS (memphis area
Homer Skelton
Decent price
Nice people
Easy to work with on price and problems.

THE MEDIOCRE
TN (Memphis area)
Landers
Overall its ok but prices are very high compared to other dealers with the same car. Can get a better $ deal elsewhere.

THE BAD
TN (Memphis Area)
Dobbs
People are sleazy
Wont talk about price until they fill out all the paperwork
Hard to nail down on anything
Dont know much about the cars they are selling
The worst experience I have ever had at any car dealer

Some people were nice. But they never told me that they did not have any more allocations. Sales manager always called back with as much info as he had otherwise. Sales Manager even offered me a job. GM finally told me there were no allocations. He did not talk to me after I asked for my deposit back. He ignored me when I walked by. but the Sales Manager said the job offer still stands.

Had an order with a VIN# waiting for me when I called. So far the guy seems nice. He is not even pushing for a deposit. Said my name is on the board for that car. He is accepting X-plan.

Chantilly Va,

I JUST got my chinese food in and had to get a spare key made for a customer. It was COLD after getting done and had to heat it up, General Tso's chicken isn't quite the same after being nuked  They make some of the best around, but you have to eat it fresh.

Leave me be.
I chose wisely. There is no crime in that.
So the answer is = ONE

Know why I contacted so many dealers? I wanted to weed out the idiots who treat women like "little ladies", the price gougers, liars and just plain old jackasses. I believe I did a fine job of it.

All three allocated orders were plan orders. Very honest and informative and never promised anything they didn't deliver. Ask for Aaron Martin, he is also a Mustang enthusiast.

You get me into my car, and I will be happy to drive there. Its on the way to NY anyhow...Its not so much the dealer as how I am treated. Treat me well, you got a customer for life. Treat me bad, and I will tell ten of my friends to tell ten of theirs.

PARK FORD, Tallmadge

THUMBSUP.

Initially went in and signed contract for msrp or z-plan...They didn't know if they were doing any plans at the time... A few weeks ago they said they were going to do the plans and that a new customer was worth more than a few thousand to begin with. Mine is on quality hold still but dealer has been checking frequently...Dealer also gave me the commercial disk for the cornfield/mcqueen commercials to make copies of....GREAT DEALER and nice salesmen(at least the ones I have dealt with which have been numerous lately with my frequent visits).

Availability is the problem, you should just order one and be done with it, you'll have 8 weeks to get everything in order before it shows, and most likely get a great price on it.

So is the complete commercial on it? Ill have to dig one up around the dealer then. If it IS the full commercial, why the HECK is it not here?

Here is my ultimate stupid question, and trust me I have had plenty of time to dwell on it today......the mind at rest is a dangerous thing.

My bday is in 86 days. That's 1-22 and I will be 29. On that fine cold Friday morning I expect to have a 2005 mustang in my garage by sunset.

Is it

A)true
B)False

that the order banks closed at noon 10/22?

Not that it matters sooooooooo much. I know what I want, and know by then I can find it, I just wanna know if thats dealer lie #84,112.
