Thumbs up

Ledgend Lime is a brand new color, although it looks very very similar to the Lime Gold color (Paint Code: I) that used to be offered on the '67 - '69 Mustangs.

I think this very retro looking 2005 Mustang would look awesome with a retro style exterior color. What do you guys think?

The Legend Lime is offered with Black and Medium Parchment interior. What do you think looks more apporpiate with the Legend Lime exterior? I am thinking that the Parchment might be more suitable, but the black would look meaner. Let me know what you think.

I too want the Lime. I love that color!! And I am really really upset that the Graphite is not an option. I think THAT is the perfect color for the interior!!! WHY cant we have that color? dang... that is the only thing that really bugs me!!! My 02 Mustang has the parchment, its all right, but I want something different, new, for a new car. The black doesnt appeal to me at all, being in Florida, thats just way too hot. So given those choices I have to go with the parchment.

Lime Gold is my favorite color hands down, and I will wait to get mine until it is available. I grew up in a Lime Gold '67 with Ivy Gold interior. It may not look as good in this day and age, but I wish they offered a two tone matching green interior like they did in '67. Since that ain't happnin, I'd go with black (dark charcoal).

I saw the legend lime GT in person, it looked fantastic. On any other car it would look bad.

I thought these were to go into "which is better?" as well.

So I guess you're getting

j/k

However, since I'm here, may I also point out my signature about MY desired retro color...?

My 67 is Lime Gold, however, I'd rather have a different color (Grabber Blue or Orange).

One of the things that makes me like the Legend Lime is the contrast between the lime and the black grille, tires, and trim on the exteriror. Therefore, I think the dark charcoal is the way to go for the same reason.

My '69 Hardtop was originally Lime Gold with a Black Interior, howvever I never saw it that way. When I bought it in '81, it was painted a dull Silver. I stripped it down and found the Lime Gold. Having just graduated from High School, there was no way I was painting it that color !! I wanted a shade of red, but did not like Candyapple Red (too dark & dull). Ended up painting it '69 Calypso Coral (a.k.a. Poppy Red / Competition Orange) in 1982 ... 22 years later this paint job still turns heads.

I have seen a few restored performance Mustangs & Shelbys painted Lime Gold over the years and they look pretty sharp. But accent striping or paint is needed, so a plain-jane Convertible / Hardtop (like shown above and how mine came from the factory) would not cut it for me. A properly restored '69 Mach 1 looks good in Lime Gold, and almost any color for that matter !!

Black or charcoal. STAY AWAY FROM THE PARCHMENT!! It looks like "blah" and it'll get dirty faster. Tan and green.. espeically that light of a green color.. doesn't mix that well.

Now... if they offered white... I'd be all over it for the retro look.

OK,

I talked to my dealer today and changed my order from Medium Parchment to Dark Charcoal Interior. I guess the dark charcoal will look more aggressive and will get dirty less. The seats might get a little hotter in the Summer, but that is ok.

Keep adding comments though. I like to hear what you all think. About the exterior color.

From your pics i assume your going with leather? I think Medium Parchment in leather would go better then black ,but i guess its all a matter of personal option. That being said, if its cloth your getting then i would stay with darker colors to keep clean.

Well, if i were to purchase an '05 stang, Legend Lime would definately be the color. I'd have to have a black interior in it also. Just think what the car would look like with white racing stripes across the top of the car !!

....i think you made a good decision !!

They should of done a special option with the brown 'saddle' color offered on 03 T-birds(simmilar to how light brown baseball gloves are colored) with the the same style color accent package the red has. They could of offered it in lime and the new incredible dark stone(brown metallic) color the trucks get. Dont even get me started on how bad they missed it by doing redfire instead of merlot.
