removal of paint from cowl
Hi all, my 2007 mustang is a Florida car. About three years ago the plastic cowl started to loose it's color due to the sun. I had a trim shop respray my cowl to restore the color. The paint is starting to chip and looks very unsightly. Besides buying a new cowl what can I use to remove the balance of the paint without ruining the cowls plastic finish? Thank you

That may do it. It's designed to take off paint but leave plastics alone. No guarantees.
A similar product might work... I've read about ezoff oven cleaner, spray it on, put it in a bag, wipe it off... brake cleaner, but be quick... carb cleaner, but be quick...
It might also be that some of these will detexture the plastic, so that's the real concern here. Most people looking to take paint off are not working with a non-painted item in plastic, like motorcycles or bumper covers.
You might just take the thing to the trim shop or a collision center to fix instead and let them worry about it.
