That rear bumper and side skirts were actually silver(not primer). We were just about to ask them to take the top down when the light turned green and they took off to the left and we had to turn right. Sorry we couldn't get more.

What's with the silver/white two tone on the 'vert?

The 'vert looks sweet.

My wife (of 37 years!) says I can trade my 99 GT 'vert in on a new one if I want. I say it has to be a GT. She says it has to be a 'vert. Just gotta figure out what color. Decisions, decisions!

 

On a lot of pre-production test mules.. they put on misc. parts from other years.. different colors... stuff like that. The silver bumper on the white vert isn't effecting the cars performance or testing.. so why bother putting on a white bumper.. just slap whatever is around... OR they did have a white bumper on it at one time and it got damaged.

Samething when I followed one of the old OLD mules.. they had red color coded side mirrors on it.. this led me to believe for the longest time that the new 05's would have color coded side mirrors. :bang:

How did the vert look with the top down, specifically, did the roof look all bunched up or was it a neat appearance, sorry, couldn't tell from the pics. TIA!

 

Hadn't seen those pics before, but haven't we seen that vert before? The one with the off-color rear bumper cover?

 

totally OT but me and a few friends ripped the audio from the badger flash and burned it, the lost smurfs episode, the insanity test, gonads and strife, and trogdor the burninator to a cd. We then went cruising in another friends golf TDi with tha blaring...the insanity test got some fun looks at stoplights.
BACK TO TOPIC, woo. The vert looks GREAT in those pics, cant wait to see it in person. The SN-95s always looked good as verts, I figured the s197s, which lend themselves to being convertibles in design, would look good as well. Turns out, I was right!

 

WOW Great pics. Talk about a dilemma now! I know I'm not going to be able to pick up a GT until about April(nice b-day present to me) and I was set on a hard top but seeing more pics of verts is messing with my head!

From what I can remember... and looking at a picture while on the AAI tour that we weren't suppose to see It did look like it folded down neatly... but you are still going to see it, like the older stangs.

Sorry the pics aren't too hot.. If I was in my car.. I would've pulled a huge U-Turn and gone after it. :bang: And don't think they'll be driving with the tops down today (was thinking of going "hunting" in a few), it's raining :bang:
