Not sure this will help anyone but will submit just in case.
Got my car back from the dealer today. The TSB related to an intermittent grinding/growling noise, predominately while in 3rd/4th developed at 6,000 miles. While driving home, I noticed that this problem was gone but also that the overall noise level while driving had been reduced like 1/3rd or possibly even more. The level of noise had not increased since getting the car (except for the on and off grinding sound) Have not been in any other 5 speed since a demo was not available when I ordered and have not been in anyone elses. Just thought it was 'normal" based on what I had read in other threads and having the Tri-Ax Checking the invoice, they installed a new reverse gear, sychronizer and a snap ring kit.
For what its worth -

Thanks for that Ed. I've been driving my new car lately, but today I drove my old '91 GT and noticed how INCREDIBLY quiet it was.
After a while I guess you just get used to all that noise. I'm definately taking my car in now though. My transmission is VERY noisy compared to my old car. I'm not sure if it's in 3rd or 4th and I don't yet have 6000 miles on the car, but it's definately noisy.

My 06 makes a noise just like that in fourth gear. I have less than a thousand miles on mine at the moment.
Makes a grinding noise while accelerating, once speed evens out it goes away.
Is there a TSB number out there for this?

The TSB is 05-15-02 which applies to the 05's - don't know about the 06's.
