Redfire Vert has arrived!!!!!

Today started out crappy but ennded great. My car has actually been sitting in the railyard since last Friday which is only 30 miles from the dealership. I expected to get her Wednesday at the latest but finally got her todya.

Here is the really cool part. The GM of the dealership contacted the auto carrier company and requested that they be able to drive over and pick up the car personally. The yard hesitantly agreed. A few minutes later my salesman called me and asked if I wanted to go pick up my car. I asked him if he was on crack because he knew I would want to get there ASAP!!! So I fly over to the dealer and off we go to the holding yard. Man there are a butt load of new cars sitting at this place.

We do the paperwork and my salesman says to me, hop in and take her to the dealership. I about fell over, I can drive my own car from the yard, even before she has been prepped? I did just that and man it was cool. All the wrapping was on everything and the radio would not pick up any stations but it ran, the A/C cranked, and I listened to the beautiful hum of the exhaust all the way back.

Here are some pics from the yard and from home. The biggest shocker was that even though I ordered parchment interior, I got black seats. I really wanted parchment but it is what it is and I think they look great. They will just be hotter than I would like at times. Anyway here she is for your viewing pleasure.

Bob

Looks great, Bob! That's kinda weird, with the black seats. I would've thought at least the middles would've been parchment. Glad to see you finally got it. Now if only I can get mine from the railyard.

I wonder how my '07 TG vert parchment interior will look ?! I have a parchment top ordered.
It doesn't come until mid August and now I am worried.
Scott

BTW great looking car, the black seats go well with black top; the exhaust note was the seller for me too! That must have been cool in the yard with all those shiny new babies!

I was actually expecting all parchment seats with black door panels but was I surprised. I really like the color combo.

Bob, I have a vague memory of other people getting wrong interior pieces in the first '05's, wonder if that's what happened to you? If you like it, cool, but if you want the parchment colored seats, might want to talk to the salesman about checking into that. Either way, enjoy it this weekend!

Congrats Bob! She looks really great!

For those that don't know about the interior color schemes, if you order the Premier Trim Package in either parchment or dove it will look like Bob's scheme (black seats & door panel inserts). If you order the PTP in red or chamois, it looks like the old ICAP scheme (trim colored seats and door panel inserts with everything else in black). There is no telling why Ford did this, it is confusing and does not match the description in the 2007 order guide. But they did and that's why Bob's interior looks like this. If he did not have the Premier Trim Package, he'd have parchment seats & carpet.

Personally I think the black seats look great!

You may have seen my car at the railyard, it's supposed to be here any time!

I hope I'm not hijacking, but since so many people wondered about the color of your interior here are a couple of other shots. Both of these are PTP interiors with IUP, but notice the flip-flop in the color scheme between the dove (which looks like yours) and the chamois (which looks like the old ICAP).

Wow Mike, it sounds like you and I ordered nearly the same car! Mine is also torch red, cloth top, 5 speed, KR interior, PTP, comfort group, anti-theft, spoiler delete & 3.55's! The wheels on mine are 64W's though, and I also got the GT Appearance Package. If I see another car like mine cruising DFW I'll know who it is

Oh great, now I am really freaked. We did the Dealer's first order for an '07 with an interior upgrade package....like the '06's had. It just says parchment, no seat specifics. They didn't have any brochures or pics, just said it would all be the same as the 06..also it was a rookie salesman on his first day and I dealt with two different managers. Oh $h!t! Not really sure how it will come in. I rented two vert 06's and the one with a black interior and seats was way hotter.
Dealer also said that the Bullit mags I wanted are not avaliable. I love the car, but this will be interesting to see just what turns up OR

If you didn't get the Premier Trim Package or the Sports Appearance Package, the parchment interior does look just like the 05/ 06 parchment. If you got the PTP, it will look like Bob's interior above. If you got the SAP, it will -probably- look like Bobs, except without the "wrapped & stitched" console lid, dash and armrests. I say "probably" because so far no pictures have surfaced of the '07 SAP.

The only thing IUP affects on the interior is the door panel inserts. If you got parchment without IUP, you'll have parchment door panel inserts. If you got parchment with IUP, you'll have black inserts. This is also the same as 05/06.

Confused yet?

Bob must be out tearing up the roads, he's been eerily quiet since getting his car

I really like how the seats look with the tan accents on the rest of the interior. And it's great that you got to pick up the car directly from the rail yard - that's a story you'll always remember.

Congrats to you and enjoy!

Like the interior!

Hey, I like that parchment interior with the black seats! The charcoal dash adds to the upscale look as well.

I was leaning towards ordering an all dark/charcoal interior with the PTP but I may just go with your setup. Do we have mulitple cars now coming in with this scheme so we can bank on it?

Somebody needs to get pictures of the red interior too so we can see how that looks with and without PTP!

That is so cool that you got to pick it up at the yard, and I really like the two tone interior. It looks a lot nicer that the all dark charcoal in my PTP, and it'll definitely be easier to keep clean that parchment seats. One Q, what color are the floor mats? Are they dark charcoal or parchment???

The floormats are black, kinda cheap too. I will have to keep an eye out for replacements. The more I see the interior, the more I like the black seats. I also like the fact that the carpet is black as it will hide the dirt better than the tan/parchment.

I have been out enjoying my new ride, she is a dream to cruise in. I have about 200 miles on her so far.

Hey Mike,

The only other vert's I saw was a Grabber Orange GT and 2 Redfire V6 cars. Ofcourse there were a butt load of cars there so it could have been there someplace. It may already be at the dealer for all I know.

They probably have it out in front of the dealership and are giving free test drives to all the local teenagers!!! Wouldn't that suck!!!

BeBeep - So what do you think of that Shaker 1000? Can you really crank it up and get good clean bass out of it? I'm wondering if it's worth it over the Shaker 500.

I know people will say you can get better aftermarket but I'd be tending to stay stock with either Shaker system.

I was concerned about the Shaker 1K from all the negative posts I have read. I can tell you that it is really a great sounding system, I burned some CD's and experimented with many different styles of music and I have no complaints at all. I am very impressed with the system. It cranks very well. as far as the subs, I think they hit hard and I have not experienced any distortion at all. The are not JL Audios but are very good for a factory built system.

I had a Toyota Tundra with a professionally built system which cost me around $5K and that was the best system I have ever had but for the $1200ish I paid for this system, it gives me the bang for my buck I was looking for.

I am hoping not to have any of the problems that others have had with the skipping and not rading disks but only time will tell on that one.

Bob
