Rear seat delete
Rear seat delete
You don't want the rear seat delete. The kits I have seen (pix have been posted here in the past) look like someone glued some cheap carpet to plywood and just squashed it inside the car.
There were no weight savings and IMHO the looks were seriously detracted.
Also, the kits were expensive. Again, I'd pass if I were you.

Thats so true. Maybe I should ride around with the seat down for awhile and see how I like that mess. Hmmmm.....thanks for the advice. But seriously, who the he!! can sit in that back seat!! It's bascially a 2-seater to me. If you put a child back there, their feet would be all up in the back of the front seats. UGH!! Not that I have children to ride in there..lol. Childless car for me!!
Personally I don't think there would be much weight savings if you cover the blank areas under the seats with carpeting.
Meh... i keep thinking about getting a rear seat delete, but they all look horrible and there is always that one time that someone has to cram themselves into my backseat, and no matter how uncomforatable it is back there, at least they dont have to walk

Brenda get some mirror caps
I pulled the rear seat out of my Z/28 back in the day when I put in the roll bar. It looked pretty good, but it was a hatch and the carpet ran under the seats and up into the "trunk". I don't think a coupe would look that great. You would save a few pounds, but not many. In all honesty, what's a couple pounds unless your driving the 12 hours at Sebring? The kit shown above looks like crap. I could do the same thing myself for far less dough and a much better effect. But again, I'm not so sure it really buys you anything. There's my .02!
BTW - Where in DE Brenda? I grew up in Fairfax and later moved to Pike Creek. I'm in Chester County PA now.

Yeah, I kinda think that looks like crap too. Maybe I'll just fold 'em down or something. Just an idea. I don't need the space but I have this light graphite seats!
