Rear end fluid??

Have a 2006 Mustang GT 5 speed and 3.55 gears, and 96k miles I just noticed my rear end was leaking, my question is can I use royal purple fluid? And how much do I need? Do need 75/145?

FYI, since I just had mine done in december, if it's leaking, it's possible it's a pinion seal that's causing the problem. I had 85,000 on mine.
