if i order a car cause i cant find the one on the lot already, what is the realistic time frame to receive?

I don't think there is such a thing as a "Realistic" time frame. My '05 GT took five months, i ordered an '07 GT/CS on 10/22, and it's ETA to the dealer is 12/7.

 

Assuming your car has no material holds (i.e. 18" wheels out of stock, wait 3-4 months) it will take at least 6 weeks and as much as 3 months for a normal factory order depending on where you are. My Crown Vic arrived in about 2.5 months (St Thomas Ontario Canada to NJ) while the E-250 arrived in exactly 2 months (Lorraine, OH to NJ).

Michiganders claim Pontiac can deliver a factory order in TWO weeks...

Hmm tough question. Mine would have been on the lot in 4 weeks, but got stuck on a defective rail car for 2 weeks, so it took 6 to get. My friend's was around 5 weeks. As already stated if there is not a quality hold or delay on parts 5-6 weeks is very obtainable. I have heard horror stories of much longer though

 

Well I am waiting 16 weeks...ETA was today Nov. 15...I have not received a call yet so I assume with in the week...I hope...Good Luck...

 

I ordered my 2007 on 20 June, and it was delivered and I picked it up on 02 August. Not too bad of a wait.

 

I ordered 8/17/06 and I'm expecting delivery on 11/20/06.

 

I orderd in April 2006 and got the car second weekend of July 2006. Yeah, it's safe to say that was a good weekend. I got held up for the 2006 to 2007 model retool and my car also got pulled for a random car inspection. a lot of people would think getting your car pulled for random quality control is a bad thing but I can honestly say that from fit and finish to mechanical/electrial aspect the car is perfect.

 

5 weeks for me.

 

About 8 weeks for me on my 07... It would have been 6, but they screwed my order up and had to reorder it.

 

Ordered mine on 9/906, and it's sitting on a rail car somewhere in Chicago. I was told to expect it by 11/29/06.

 

Maybe it's on the same train as mine! Supposed to be here this week. I'm west of Chicago 100 miles.

 

Ordered mine Dec 28 05 and had it in hand Feb 02 06. for a total of 4 1/2 weeks. But was told 6-8 weeks.

 

4 1/2 weeks is FAST... Usually it takes 1 week after the build date to even deliver it.

 

Ordered mine the last week of Feb. 06 and got it the first week of April. Just over 5 weeks.

 

My schedule date is the first week of December, is schedule date build date? How long after schedule date was car delivered in those cases where y'all knew your schedule date?

Ordered OCT 12 06 arrived the dealership NOV 13th 06. Dealer had a 40 priority code.

 

Ordered mine DEC 13 05 and it arrived at the dealer MAR 28 06. The salesman was terrible , he had no clue about the car or options when I ordered it, good thing I did my homework and knew what I wanted before placing the order. He even got mad at me for trying to take pics of the car as soon it came off the truck

 

I ordered a loaded '07 V6 on Nov 13th, 2006, and it's expected to be in the dealership Dec 18th!
