Please take a look at the picture of the car I have posted below. It is a car out in front of a hotel. It could be a real Saleen or a Saleen Clone. Please vote whether you think it is real or fake. I will make one poll using a real Saleen and one poll using a Saleen Clone but I won't reveal which one is which until each poll has at least 50 votes! Happy Voting!

 

Judging by your Avatar and text under it, I'm guessing that it is a clone??

 

Don't Be fooled by the Avatar. The Satin Silver is the most common color Saleen uses. The one in the picture may not be the same one in the Avatar but I'm not telling yet. Make sure to vote on the other one in part two!

 

Don't really see the point of this... there really is no way to tell.

 

A lot of people think they can tell by looking at a picture. That is why I created this poll. I don't think that by just looking at a picture you can tell. I have seen some clones that are so good that even upon close inspection in person you can't tell!

 

I'd say that it is a clone looking at the GlassPack roof which most saleens don't have, so I would assume that it's your clone. Just a guess though

 

Nice Try.... Saleens and Clones may both have glass roofs! This is getting very interesting.

Do you mean the plate in the grill? If so it is there so make sure to look closely before you vote!

Oh I get it now you mean the plate on the fire wall. Good Idea. I will post engine bay pictures in future polls but remember you can buy those plates on ebay! Real or Clone?

 

Is it just me or are those the regular headlights? I vote clone, but doesnt matter car still looks good.

 

It's a clone and I can prove it. Here are 2 reasons why I "think" it's a clone and 1 reason why I "know" it's a clone:
1. I THINK the grill badge should be 3 up instead of 2 up but I'm not positive.
2. I THINK the interior should be black, not red and I think the headrests should be slotted but I'm not positive.

The Grill Badge on Saleens is 2 Blocks Up. As for the interior color they come from Saleen in Charcoal Grey but many real Saleens upgade with Katzkin or other interiors in all colors. The most impressive I have seen is the bright yellow Saleen with the bright yellow and black interior.

 

It's your personal clone. Simple answer: your personal clone # is 281, and so is the one in the pic. And, that is the same pic that you posted as being your's on another thread.

also, as stated before, that has the red interior and doesn't seem to have the slotted headrests.

Finally, it has the glassback roof.

So, unless by some MAJOR coincidence the real saleen S281, car #281 is a silver car with glassback and and happens to have a red interior, I'm calling this as YOUR clone.

But, it still looks good

Oh, forgot to mention: the glassbacks weren't available until 2006, which means that that would have to be an 06, car # 281, again with the same coincidences.

Unless you plan on coming back saying: "well, the owner may have added the glass roof to his 05 saleen".

Please stop with the "he may have done this...he may have done that". We all know what COULD HAVE been changed, which is why we've all given great reasons, and could probably give many more if you showed us more pics.
