Rail or Convoy Carrier
I would think Convoy Carrier would get my Mustang from Flat Rock to Norfolk VA quicker, since it takes longer to load and unload a train. Plus, it still has to go onto a truck to be delivered to the dealership.
If my guesswork is correct, then I hope my GT ships C.C.!

The answer is....BOTH. It'll convoy from Flat Rock to the nearest railhead, then get on a train, then to a mixing yard, then convoy to your dealership.

Then why would the ERL say "shipped convoy carrier" for one person and "rail" for another?
The message changes once the car hits the railyard and is loaded up. ERL told me that my car was shipped via "haul away carrier", next message was "shipped via rail carrier", then nothing (as it was then on its way to the dealer via local transport).
It will not be trucked all the way to your dealer from the factory.
