As we near Job1, we might be able to pass some time figuring out some clever ways of mounting radar detectors in the new Mustang. It has been a while since I rode with one of these, but I figure it may be standard equipment with a 300hp engine. I bet there are many of you that have found some creative ways to mount and wire such units. If you could post links, descriptions or pictures that would be great. Thanks ! B)

I have the Escort Passport 8500, best investment ever. They just came out with the Passport 8500 X50 which has some upgrades to it. I'm not a fan of the Valentine 1 cuz it's ugly as sin. I have to say it has paid for itself over and over and over.
Escort sells a hard wire kit for it. Best place to put it is up high by the rear view mirror, and run the hard wire kit around the window. This is best for 2 reasons:
1) you don't have to stare at it
2) if a cop pulls you over, there's no way they are going to see it standing outside the car.

I definetly wouldn't recommend anything by Escort. I've heard enough "darn thing never goes off even when I can see the cop with his gun" to shy me away.

Check out that link
edit: That is the recommended place for all radar detectors, as high as you can get them in the car. And as far as cops seeing it goes ... I guess that only matters in states where they aren't legal. Your defense to that is "well I moved to XXXXX (state where it is legal) I'm just back here visiting, its not turned on" And there isn't much they can do.
