Quick Tremec 3650 question.

Hi everyone - according to Tremec the 3650 is rated to 360 lb-ft of torque. If one were to put down higher numbers than that do I need to upgrade the transmission or can I install a new clutch and be okay?

Thanks for some clarification as I fight this mod bug.

U can keep the same tranny. But you'll be closer to blowing it to crap I know a lot of people that make way more power than the trans is rated for and it still runs fine. Like mine for example. 450hp on a t45. So far so good

As long as you don't torture it with super hard launches I imagine you'd be ok for a while.

Its not so much the power that will kill it (although it doesn't help matters any), its when you become able to hook the power up (suspension, sticky tires, etc.).
