Quick Question

Hey guys,

This might sound like a dumb question, but does anyone know if the GT emblem on the fenders of the 05's are with adheisve tape or like a clip bolt on type? I would like to change mine and put the cobra ones on but don't want to risk just ripping them off. IF there the tape I can use a heat gun and slowly peel them back. If not then and there are holes will the new emblems cover them? Just curious. I'm pretty sure there tape. Any help would be great, or any advice if someone already has done this.

Just about every emblem on sheet metal is the adhesive type rather than clips.

The GT emblems are affixed with double sided tape but there are also two alignment pins on the back of the emblem, and therefore two holes in the fender. I know the Tribar Pony emblem that is available uses the same holes. Many have done that mod, but you are going to have to make sure the Cobra emblems are designed to cover the two holes if you go that route. The emblems come off easy with a little heat, and some fishing line moved back and forth behind the emblem in a sawing fashion to release the adhesive. There are many threads on the topic.
