he is at the auction right now and wants to sell my car for me to another dealer (he is a wholesaler and I told him I needed a truck). He says he can definetely get $27,000 for it, but at this point I need to tell him what I'll accept. Does anyone know what an 05 GT Premium/silver/dark charcoal/IUP/Sidebags/upgrade wheels/5spdmanual/with 6750 miles on it would bring at auction? I have to consider that if I trade, I will save 7% in tax money on the deal = ~$2,000, which means I could accept $25K at trade-in and come out the same, Right? This guy wants to know quickly so let me know guys, especially you dealer folks!

$27K is real close to MSRP, I'd say that's probably more than you'll get for trade-in. check the thread about trading in a V6, I'll bet it'd take a while to dicker with them on trade-in of a GT also, and you still won't get as much.

You could try calling another dealer quick and just asking them for a ballpark figure on trade-in.

No...I would be losing money if I accepted $27K for my Mustang.
I need $28,582 plus $2,310 worth of monthly payments made already to break even!

I don't want to give up my Mustang: I have too, my new job requires a truck and I can't afford two cars, period!
