Quick gears speed question.

My car had to go to the dealer and is back on the stock tune. The tune is for 3.31 gears, but I have 3.73 installed. I am correcting the speed in my head using this forumla, am I correct?

3.31
-------- = 0.887
3.73

Speedometer Speed * 0.887 = Actual Speed.

Is this how the SCT has to be done? I always thought you simply entered the gear ratio??

There are THREE scalars that need to be changed in SCT's software, Advantage III:

1) Axle Ratio Switch - Must be turned "on" to make changes in #2 & #3,
2) Axle Ratio - Numeric ratio
3) Tire Revs per Mile - I use the tire manufacturer's specs. If it's not listed, I calculate this based on tire diameter.

FYI, yes I write my own tune files.
