My recent long tubes story
OK
Here is my 2 cents on this...
I went to my tuner's dyno day the other week.
There was a guy there with a 2010 GT 4.6 with a Roush blower with a canned tune.
He told me the local Ford dealer had just installed long tube headers.
He said it still had cats.
I asked him about emissions (which are the same computer test as CT).
He said the dealer said it passed.
My tuner looked at me like I had 2 heads and said, "Why wouldn't it".
I said, "I'm just askin'. I don't know. You ask questions when you don't know something."
They were telling me that there should be no problems with long tubes passing emission if set up properly.
That's my story.

Would long tubes, off road x pipe And pype bomb axle backs be stupid loud? And if so do you think it would sound like a farm truck or have a clean sound?

I dont think it woukd sound stupid loud or like a farm truck. Im pretty much running that set up. I have oyoes long tubes with off road x pipe and pypes violators mufflers. Has a low agressive idle sound and sounds mean when you hit the gas. I would think you would be fine wuth the set up you are thinking about

If your curious to what it might closely sound like you can watch this. I do have hot rod cams so it is a little different but still close to what you are looking at

I have the eliminators but i took them off when i had the o2 sensors turned off. Im going to reinstall them when i turn the o2s back on and hope for the best. I need new o2 sensors for the headers but those are easy enough to replace.
