Questions??

Ok my car is going to be a lease will be here in about 3 weeks. I am putting these 20" rims .

I was also wondering if i would be able to put a new exhaust on, and have it not effect the lease. Does anyone know the answer

I would check with Ford...I do not think the lease lets you modifiy there car. If you buy it then you can do what you want provided what you do does not effect the warranty.

Under the lease contract the car is not suppose to be modified, now you can always change rims and exhaust, just save the old one and at the end of the lease if you decide to turn the car in, just put the old parts back on.

The vehicle must be returned in original condition or they may charge fees and penalties.

I installed mine myself, basically two clamps and couple of hangers about 30-45 minutes not too bad, pretty easily with basic hand tools.

What's going to happen is you are going to fall in love with your lease then you will REALLY pay to try to own it. You can just undo changes before turning it back in, kinda silly to mod a lease though. The lease factors (rates) are atrocious for Mustangs right now. I'm not getting into lease debates for the 100th time, but you are better off buying it.<---period Can't afford the MASSIVE 100 difference a month for a buy over a lease but mod it right off the bat with chrome rims??? The wheels and tires alone cover the difference for two years.

never would have thought of it that way myself. but ur right, the price of the mods your going with right away WOULD have covered the price difference for 2 years with a finance plan. i have so many friends that leased one time or another and every one of them say its a bad deal. in the end u NEVER stop making payments. yea u get a new car every few years but the payments never end. personally i want to own my car.

yes im payin 400 a month for my pony but in 2 more years ill will be mine (did a 3 year plan for those that are shocked by the high monthly payment)

haha. yeah dude. do whatever you want. rims, exhaust, cai, tune, etc. just make sure you can set it back to stock after the lease is done.

and it'd probably smart not to get to attached to the pony. since it's a lease and everything.

Well, somehow junior is going to have to talk Mom and Pop out of the lease and I can just see how that conversation goes over.

Hey Mom, Dad. I was on the internet and everyone says it's not a smart way to go with a lease...

Mom and Dad: Do you want a new Mustang GT?

Junior: Yeah, I really want it!

Mom and Dad: Then get off the internet so you can get a job and buy the car yourself then!

Well, see the problem start with putting 20in rims on the car. When you up the size of the rim at all, you should increase your stopping power, and thats gonna result in a charge at the end of your lease.

400 for a v6 ? should been a GT because just maybe wait untill lease runs through or see if they will upgrade for a GT cause if you want things I see a bigger engine in the future ? then when that lease is up buy the GT or go for a Shelby GT 500
