I finally got to see/sit in a 05 GT the other day at my local dealer. The car is amazing in person. And I can't wait to see the SE models hit the showrooms someday.

Anyway,

I thought the leather seats were nice and comfy, though I am only 5'6" tall and the door sill sits way to high for me to put my arm out the window.

Does this bother anyone that owns the new stang? Or does everyone just use the climate controls instead?

Also the dealer has a $3,000 "Market Adjustment" sticker on their GTs.. :notnice:

One other thing, how in the world is a 5.4 going to fit in there? Also there is no header room on the driver side that I can see with the steering linkage. Anyone have a pic of headers on one yet?

JC, I never noticed how high the sills were until the first time I pulled up to the drive-thru ATM. That was a little challenging!

No, that would not be enough to turn me away. I am patiently waiting to see the SE models and their prices before making my decision.

It's not just the door sills, the hood of the car stands higher than the average car does with respect to the driver as well.

I'm 5'6" all I do is raise the set with the control on the side. When I get out I put it down so it's easier to get out.

If you have your left arm on the window you must have an automatic. Drive with your left shift with your right and have some fun.

The seat controls will raise the seat, as well as put it forward or back.

Part of my mustang experience is driving with the windows down and hanging an arm out. But what do I know, I'm 6 foot tall and my right leg hits the console at an awkward angle.

I have a manual but can still rest my arm on the window you don't shift nonstop. But than again there may be longer stretches of road between lights around here.

My 66 has the same high door like the 05. It was one of the first things that made me fall in love with the 05.

What are all you tall people complaining about??!! How would you like to be 5'? I have to raise the seat to just see out of the window. It really blows the few times I let him drive and I'm stuck in the passenger seat and all I can see is the door handle!
