Question RE Carpet

My foot is beginning to wear a hole in the carpet to the right of the gas pedal... Anybody know if there is any form of protector that I can put there?

I'd like to know the answer to that too. I wore a hole in my carpet in the exact same place in my '05, I'd like to avoid it with my present car.

I wore 2 large holes in my carpet in just 2, 20 minute road race sessions!
Bastards for telling us no floormats! They went back in after I seen that, and stay in no matter what now.

That was the first item I bought for my '08 GT vert. I've got them in my '05 Dodge RAM CTS too. They're awesome. I highly recommend them, along with the trunk liner from Ford Accessories.

The dealer replaced mine under warranty last fall. Mine hadn't worn all the way through but you could tell it would have shortly. I had two track days on mine and it was wearing through where the heel of my right foot sits (if I remember correctly). I will also have to leave my floormat in next time, if I can get away with it.

I have been using a coupe layers clear tape to the right of the gas pedal. Its working good so far.
I wonder if you could velcro something in there to help with this problem
