is it normal for the shifter to kind of jiggle when you go over bumps? i just noticed it today, and i had not noticed it before. the car is going in for service so if its something like a trans mount then i wanna have them fix it. also, like when you get on it, you can see the shifter move a little. norml?

As long as it doesn't wiggle to much its normal. The stock shifter has a lot of slop in it. I have a Steeda triax shifter now and it vibrates a lot but the shifts are so crisp. Is it a vibration or a jiggle?

i have the tri-ax too. its more than a vibration, its a jiggle when i go over bumps. the shifter feels tight tho, it doesnt feel like anything is loose at all. maybe its a trans mount, since i only started noticing it today

Most likely it is normal. I have a manual as well and it will jiggle a little going over bumps. But it shouldn't be real bad. The trans will have a little play in the mounts, if it was too solid a big bump could break something. It could be a mount, I have no way to tell if it is bad or not.

Hard to say since you swapped out the shifter. Anyway, going to move this over to the GT Tech and Performance section. My guess, what your are experiencing is normal.
