Question about turbo and psi(cobalt vs my GT)

Hey guys so I work with this kid and he has a Cobalt SS and he's claiming he can beat my 08 GT. This is what he stated: stock with a turbo, but psi has been increased from 15psi to 20psi, intake, intercooler pipes, and 3" cat back, estimate 300hp 325tq.

I don't know much about turbos and psi so can anyone fill me in and does this sound right? My GT is stock except running a bama performance tune 87 octane.

Sounds about right, Cobalt SS turbos are easily modded and are pretty quick. He will prolly take you IF he can get a good launch, that will be the key. I have seen a few Cobalts with tune , lower pressured tires, higher PSI in tune running low 13s if not high 12s.

Oh alright. I thought those cobalts have like 205hp. With the increase in psi, really bumps it up that much? I know he has other mods but ****.

make sure you are looking up the Turbocharged version.. you are looking at the wrong motor, the stock HP on the LNF is 260hp/260trq. It is easy for him with 5psi more to hit 300 with his mods..

I had a Mazdaspeed 3 before the stang, with basic bolt ons, i was making 300 whp easily. I would take stangs/pre coyote from rolls with ease.. was a bit tricky launching but i could walk them if i get a good launch from a dig.
