Question about adding a fuse tap..
Hello everyone...
I decided to install my Dimming mirror since I pulled it from my other car before I sold it.
I am going to use one of these Mini "Add a Circuit" tap into the fuse panel for power. So I was poking around in there last night trying ot find an unused fuse slot.
Well there are three open fuse slots I can use. The one I really want to use (because of fitment issues) will only work if I mount the fuse tap UPSIDE DOWN)
Does this matter? After hooking it up everything seems to work as it should. But I don't want to create an unsafe condition.
Anyone else notice that some of the fuses require a tap upside down to work correctly?

There aren't any issues with inserting the tap upside down. It's not a polarity issue since you are only continuing a (+) connection broken by the fuse link.
No worries mate!

Although it will work, there is a difference when installing incorrectly. One blade of the tap feeds both Min fuses. The other blade of the tap going through only one of the Min fuses is the continuing feed of the original circuit. The extra Min fuse now feeds your new lead. If installed backwards it will work but if a fuse blows on the original circuit it will no longer allow power to the added circuit even though that fuse is still good. It's kind of hard to explain without pics. I believe also if your added fuse was to short it would blow both circuits fuses at the same time.
