For those who have it. I know when you lock your car and press the lock button twice, the horn beeps. When you press it once, you hear the doors lock and thats it. Is the alarm set after the one click, or do you have to click it twice and hear the horn beep to activate the alarm?

It's set the first time. The second time is just a confirmation.

just pressing the lock button 1 time arms the alarm. pressing it 2 times and the horn honk is just a confirmation that yes the doors are locked

I think it will honk twice if a door isn't completely shut, at least all my other Fords do.

If you press it once, it will lock, wait about 30 seconds and it should do that quiet little honk.

Tell you what - those motion sensors work great - had the windows down a while back and the alarm armed - forgot my cellphone in the car. Figured, "Let's see how good this is" and reached inside to get it - the second my hand crossed the window threshold and started over the driver seat, the alarm went off.

ok thanks for the replies. I just wanted to know. Feel bad when I come home late and night/early in the morning and honk the horn next to my neighbors bedroom window.

Too bad there are not more neighbors like you.

when I push the lock button once...my horn beeps. twice, two beeps. When I unlock it...the horn beeps.

I really don't like that. I know I ordered the AAT, but my dealer also added something else too...some other alarm. Anyone know what this could be?

I had my radar detector fall and set off the alarm. Its pretty darn sensitive.

It sounds like you didn't get the factory installed Active Anti-Theft as it does not chirp the horn like that. More than likely it is the dealer-installed Ford alarm (which behaves completely differently).
