well since i am able to adjust the color of the gauges in my 2007, i am happy to report that it is still in fact availible. Any rumor of it not going beyond 07 i have not heard.

MyColor
I have been reading it in quite a few places for some time now that the MyColor feature is being discontined.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember where...and I wasn't that concerned about it since the '07 will have it....and besides, maybe it will be a very "collectible" asset to the '05 thru '07 models.

I could see it being eliminated in the upcoming refreshening of the car but not the current version. If anyone has article links, please post them. Thanks!

I think there's the chance of it being a cool collectible feature, but honestly, I couldn't care less if I didn't have it. I like the rest of the IUP, but "My Color" really seems kinda useless. If they just had the other six colors to choose from and left off the ability to make 255 others, I'd be fine with it.

Something I had suggested a while back for those with MyColor dashes and manuals - some programming of the system so the whole dash acts as one big shift light.
I change the color of my dash every once in a while. Wouldn't mind if I could set it to have 8 or 10 colors that change each time I turn on the headlights. As it is, I change the color depending on my mood, sort of a "mood dash".

Heres a couple. I don't know how reliable this is. Interesting though

On the inside, fans of the S197 Mustang will quickly notice something is gone—the “My Color†instrument panel will not be returning. The most recent (2005) interior overhaul received positive notes on fit, finish, and overall design quality and will hopefully continue the trend. The concept is poised for a more “fun†approach in hopes of attracting a more youthful generation. More retro touches are expected and some conjecture about an interior such as the one in the BMW Mini Cooper S will serve as inspiration.

Since it mentions "2009 Mustang" in the article, one could conclude they are indeed talking about the refreshening, not the current S197 version. Since we expect a 2008 Shelby GT500, I would say no more MyColor in mid-to-late calendar year 2008 (model year 2009), assuming this timeline stays as predicted.
