However ! I wouldn't recommend MAC's, because their much louder than the Violators, and they do drone, even with the factory cats and mid- pipe..Trust me ! I've heard these in person on a friend of mine's 06 GT.

Nice, I wish the other mufflers were as reasonably priced.

honestly everyone has their opinion and im not the biggest fan of them. then again i had a bad experiance with pypes in general and im of course partial to SLP. but definitely take ur time in making the decision. if u do get them go all out and get the polished

That's the truth. I love the sound and fit of my Violators, but the bottom of the T409 is starting to get some surface rust. I will probably replace them with the T304 Polished version next year. But I experienced very little drone with the stock midpipe, and no drone with the off road h pipe.

Steve ! after reading your post, I'm just a bit confused when you mentioned that you experienced very little drone with the stock midpipe, but didn't experience any drone at all with the off road H-pipe ? anyhow what I'm getting at here is..Being that an off road pipe increases the overall sound levels of a muffler ! does it not also increase the drone levels as well ? Anyway, thanks for your response in advance..Rocky

The Pypes catalog shows that the Violators have a sound rating of 9/10 with a drone rating of 5.x/10, slightly more than the Street Pro and Race Pro mufflers.

I received my T304 Violators and they even shipped a Pypes hat! The only "disappointment" was that the band clamps are only T409SS or a lower grade of SS that is magnetic. I bet they did this because T409 is more durable/stronger than T304 (usually has more chromium and titanium in the alloy).

The off road pipe obviously increases sound levels. But it did get rid of the drone. I mean, you can obviously hear the exhaust inside, but it doesn't drone anymore. I guess the o/r pipe smoothed it out.

DarkFireGT: The co-worker with Bassanis also mentioned that the droning was reduced when he went with an off-road Pro-chamber setup.

Yeah, I'm not sure why that is. Like I said, I think it smooths it out.

Then it appears, I'll have to reconsider the possibility of adding a MAC O/R Prochamber

I think when I get my longtubes next year, I will be getting a prochamber, also. I've always love the sound of those. I have yet to hear one with Violators. If you get one, definitely post a video.
