Prolift Hood Struts Installed
#1
Ok, doing yet another modification to the stang! My ProLift Hood Struts just came in. One of the best mods you can do, and not expensive. Got them for $70 and install took about 15 minutes.
Here are the end results:
And for those of you that gave me crap about my dirty engine bay the last time I put up pics, here is my engine bay now, clean!!:

How do you like them? Does the hood open wider than the prop rod?They look cleaner than the MRT ones but I like the way the MRT ones are out of the way when open so you can lean in over then engine. I am trying to decide between the two. Also, I'm not sure if I want to drill holes.

hmmmm.... sorry... I don't think I like those.... actually now that I'm in my engine bay more I don't like my RedLine Tuning ones either... While the MRT's look kind of funny they are completey out of the way...
But I'm all for you added weight to your car!!!! LOL!

Yes, they open wider than the prop rod. They look cleaner than the MRT ones, but the MRT ones have that cool logo on them. LOL. These bolted right on, just take the bolts off, bolt on the mounts and done! Was so easy it's sick.

@Scrming,
It's cool man, you switched to the MRT ones from Redline tuning? Or did you always have them?

The redlines are drilled and rivetted... that's the only reason I haven't switched to the MRT's..... to much of a hassle....

I love my Redlines, but then I'm not tinkering under the hood 1/10th as often as Scrming

Scrming--did you by chance install them "upside down"? I seem to remember seeing the RedLines installed backwards, which gives the bay much more clearance.
