Don't worry...3-5 years from now, you'll get the SAMMMMME things...

Every car has growing pains, to be sure....but don't think that buying a car a year later is free of problems. In some cases you'll have MORE problems, because of possible changes on the line that are implemented to make things easier, actually mess things up.
My car had JUST as many problems 3 years later, than a 99....and they weren't many.

Besides, just because they stop, its because they found it PRIOR to releasing the car to you....

Keep waiting, and you'll be waiting forever.

Exactly WRB. That's why I'm waiting until spring or summer 2005. Or better yet, I'll get a titanium '06.

The more people wait, the more Mustangs are available to those who want them now . And the price will be lower because of lesser demand. So I say wait as long as you can!

Exactly. Did you see a little lower they had notice for F150s having a bad fuel tank? No matter much they make a car, there will be a problem.

0.000000 2004 F-series sold here have had problems.

Dont make too much of a deal about small TSB's for limited numbers of cars. ALL manufacturers have them. My Rx7TT burst into flames in my driveway and was completely destroyed. BON seems to whine about everything. Every complaint needs to be weighed against total number built, its not even a flyspeck usually. We live in a nation of people who whine about everything and try to make money from lawsuits at the drop of a hat. I have no problem buying a new model, they are always better then the very last of the old model every time.

There is a kind of aura around the new F-series, we are waiting to see what the first part that breaks will be, nothing yet. Just regular services and stuff like lot damage or allignments have been about it.

I know for a fact Ford is not shipping the 500 and Freestyle because they are having major launch problems. I hope the Mustang isn't experiencing similar problems. It seems quality sure hasn't been job 1 at Ford for a while now. I've heard nothing but good about the 04 F-150 so I hope the Mustang comes out OK. I don't think Ford will sell too many 500's and Freestyle's anyway. They will be dogs in their class.

You can bet Ford won't let one single bad Mustang out the door. They are sitting on a gold mine and Bill Ford knows it. I am confident that the first one will be good, and I used to work at Ford but that was when they didn't think about Quality and reputation like they do today. :usa:

It seems that there is an update to that article mentioned at the top of this thread...it appears it *does* indeed involve the 2005 Mustang GT, but it didn't sound too dire so all you folks waiting on your new rides - I wouldn't be too worried. Better to find out there is a problem early on than to take delivery of your new car only to have to return it to the dealership for problems.

What's interesting about BON is that on their homepage, they have a WANTED poster.

Wanted:
Do You Have Assembly Plant Information? Click Here To Submit Newstips To Us. You Can Also Mail Information To: BlueOvalNews. POB 434. Dearborn, MI - 48121.

Which is anonymous. That sounds like someone who wants to smear Ford any chance they get.
