problem with my girls headlights
problem with my girls headlights
so this isnt for a mustang but at this point, id try about anything. if this post gets deleted for not being mustang relevant i understand. she has a 2003 mercury grand marquis.
when she first bought the car the headlights would go on sometime. the brights work all the time but you have to hold the turning signal stick back to get them to work, they wont work when you push it forward to lock them on. now after a few months the headlights wont go on at all. still can flash highbeams but thats about it. took me an hour, but i replaced both headlights and still, didnt work.
im at the end of my rope. anyone have any idea of what it could be? maybe a bad ground? bad fuse? havent checked either yet but i figured id ask before trying to search for the problem, maybe someone out there knows exactly what is wrong.

LMAO i knew everyone was going to think different with me saying "my girls headlights". shell get a kick out of it when i tell her everyones response. i didnt even think about the switch because she did have it on auto and they would go on and off by themselves but in the beginning if they went off, she just manually shut them off and then on and theyd go back on, for alittle while.
its a switch like out mustangs, like a dial. now i gotta find a replacement switch.
and the healights are the same brightness from what i can tell.
thanks so much everyone for the input. ill let u know how it goes....and as always, TMS for the WIN!

You might want to check the multifunction switch, aka the signal stalk etc... I had one go bad on my Ranger and it messed with all the lights, made things act weird etc.

I wanted to see those high beams.
