If I calculated correctly, my GT Premium (see sig) comes out to $27,085 full MSRP, but my deal (should be x-plan, but not to exceed $500 over invoice) comes in at $25,037 (X-plan) or $25,287 if $500 over invoice.

CA tax in my county is 8.75% (OUCH), or about $2200. Now if I only knew how to calculate my VLF, I'd know what I'm paying to the penny.

Nice!

Thanks for the numbers!

almost exactly what I was expecting to pay...Darn Shaker 1000 price! Also now wishing I ordered the 17" machined wheels! A cheap upgrade for much better looking wheels! i originally didn't order it because I plan on getting Bigger/better looking aftermarket wheels, but probably not right away.

The dealer can probably put the wheels on as a dealer installed option?

Now for the Canadian Price List. I have been using the price in the guide times $1.32 (American Exchange Rate). So for a V6 Premium Coupe at 19,370 would work out to 25568.40, plus delivery and 7% Gouging and Screwing Tax for an estimated total of about $28030.14.

Gotta love Canada home of the Canadian Peso! Tacos anyone?

Oh no... fully loaded GT, Automatic w/o Shaker 1000: >33,500$, can you say duty and VAT

(but hey, that's about 27.500€ (Euros), although shipping and the mods needed are not included yet... reasonable)

Best guess for canadian price...(just a guess)

as you can see from my pic (using fords us and cdn sites for 2004 base V6) the pricing doesn't just go by the exchange rate...it is even lower :-)

also unless your in alberta (no pst)you have to factor in both pst and gst (here in b.c. that would add a extras 14.5%)

if you look at both prices (us left cdn right) it seems to be about 26% higher price...so im thinking this might be about the base price of a cdn V6

msrp=18,785 us (base V6)
plus about 26% (estimate cdn extra)=4884
total=23,669 cdn

Okay let me see if I got this correct. I did the figuring myself from those numbers converting it into CAD and I got ~$1300-1400 diference between a 2004 at the beginning of the 2004 model year and the 2005's are now. Am I correct on this because that is like the best deal a person can ever ask for when a model of a car goes from one generation to it's next generation. Am I the only canadian to get those results?

Wow... I totally forgot about taxes... $2000 is like 5 months worth of payments.

MSRP
GT Deluxe - 25000
Options - 1400
Taxes - 2100
= 28500

Invoice
GT Deluxe - 22915
Options - 1245
Taxes - 1930
= 26100

Hopefully I can get it as close to invoice as possible. My dealer said "around 26k" but that was before we knew pricing. I also have to weigh in the cost of a warranty (approx 1500 or so). I'm looking at payments in the 300-400/month range, plus I need to have enough money for my stereo and eventually my new wheels. Yay for being broke the next 4 years!

The V6 is dirt cheap thankfully... I might be able to afford the V8 since I'm not adding TOO much. We'll see... Until then:

Stad's V6 Stang: 21581 (Invoice) +7% Sales Tax = $23,091.67

V6 Premium w/5-Speed Auto
16" Machined Wheels w/Spinner
Leather Seats & 6-Way Power Seat
Exterior Sport Package (surprised it's only $263)
IUP (Just $401!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Anti-Lock Brake/TC (For those rainy days)
Active Anti-Theft
Front Seat Side Mounted Air Bags
Shaker 500 (1000+ for the Shaker 1000, :nono: to ford)

'Fortunately through Cosco car buying program I should be able to get at invoice or just over.

Kevin, thanks so much. This is the last requirement my dad wanted me to meet before putting in an order. Should be right around 25K for a Premium GT with my options on X-Plan. You and the release of Fable on xbox have made my week!

Does anyone know if the "D" plan will be available from the get go?
Remember when they came out with the Thunderbird, they held back the "D" plan as well as the other discounts for employee's, friends and trade accounts.

I am hoping to take delivery of my '05 around Dec 15th(Big Fat Bonus week), does anyone kno aprox. when I should order? Now? wait a few weeks? Timing is everything!

Yes, I've checked with the dealership before I ordered mine. That's how I'm getting mine.

This is good news despite my dealer telling me my car will not be here before Mid-Nov.

How much do you plan to put down/trade? I think you would need to put down enough so that you are only financing $20,000 in order to be in the range you want.
