Price Jump in Parts lately

I have noticed a price jump lately on parts for our cars specifically on Ford Racing Parts. Was looking at control arms they have jump about a $120 in the last month.

That's not good. Demands are low?

I'm sure it's just the results of QE1 and QE2 and the likelihood of a QE3. Nothing to worry about. We won't be able to afford gasoline soon enough anyway.

I've noticed a steady increase in price for parts across the board over the past year or so. Especially when it comes to FRPP stuff. I'm sure the quake in Japan didn't help things.

I expect it to fall once the new mustang debuts. Much like how parts for the SN95 are way cheaper in comparison.

Cost of oem seat covers has tripled. You used to be able to get them around 275 for the whole car. Now its 600-800 if you have an 05-09 mustang

not just ford racing. the tci auto shifter went from 300 to 500+ recently. some things pretty drastic, but seems everything has gone up at least a little.

Several brands have price hiked. NGK, K&N/AEM, Tokico, etc. It happens every year, just seems this year more of the every day brands decided to price hike.

I'd attribute it partially to R&D costs as they get ready for the next gen platform
