I'd love to see a nice overall picture of the interior to get an idea of how the black leather seats and the stitched dash go together along with the satin dash. Thanks!

OK, here you go, I put the top down but it was kind of dark in there even with the lights on. I don't think this really does it for you though. The detail shots I posted earlier probably give you a better idea. Trust me, it all looks good together and is worth the $$$.

LOL! Well I've been watching all my investments stagnate or dwindle away thanks to the "stellar performance" of the stock market. Might as well blow the money on something I can enjoy instead!

Congrats on yours! It'll be interesting to hear your thoughts on how it compares to your '94. I really love my '05, it's been a fantastic car. I'm taking the "watched pot never boils" approach on the '07 and just letting the dealership worry about when it gets here. I'm not bothering with calling to check on it, that would just drive me bats. It was supposed to be built this week and delivered by the 3rd week of July, but with the delays on 64W wheels and the GT Performance Package plus the 2 week July shutdown I'm not expecting to see it until August. If it gets here before then I will be pleasantly surprised I'm not planning on striping it, I've looked at a zillion stripe pics trying to make up my mind. The torch red almost demands white stripes (for me at least) and I think the white stripes look a little iffy with the black top.

I had mine done by a place called "Moonshadow", I'm not sure if it's a national chain or not. They used Llumar film. They did an immaculate job on it and it has a lifetime warranty. I have had none of the scratching problems that others have reported.

Bob, so what are your driving impressions so far? Are you lovin' it?

Thanks for posting the additional interior pictures, they look awesome!! I am going to try and place my order tomorrow for a 2007 GT Coupe in Tungsten. Your pictures of the premier trim package were the last bit of information I need to place the order!!

Bob - So you didn't go with the Comfort Group? I just need to decide on the Appearance Package and the Shaker 1000 options. You said earlier that you didn't care for the bright rolled exhaust tips over the stock ones. What about the engine cover and hood scoop? The hood scoop looks good on your car in Torch Red.

I am not sure if I really like that shifter compared to the standard one in the GT w/o the Trim package.
I also ordered the Trim Pkg on mine, so I guess I need to get use to it or swarp it out of my better halfs 05 Pony.
But, a new home awaits my new arrival................

I skipped the comfort group because at the time I ordered I wasn't sure if the mirror had homelink and temp (it doesn't), and I didn't know the cost of the group. If it had that I would have been sorry not to have gotten it but now we know it's just a compass and electrochromatic dim. The temp/homelink/compass/dim mirror is available but it's around $400 alone (yikes!). In retrospect, the comfort group probably would have been good because that's the only way to get a power pass seat - no issue for me because I'm the DRIVER , but my wife and a friend both asked if they could "raise" the pass seat. They could in Stever's car, but not in mine!

I posted pics of the engine cover and scoop below. Those two items are really nice. I know most people hate the nonfunctional scoop, but I think the car needs it. I've always thought the hood looked too plain - too bad it's not functional! The rolled tips - I'm up in the air on those. I don't think they're big enough and I think the stock tips look better. Despite what I posted previously, they are slant cut but I don't thinks it's as pronounced as on the std tips. At least they're welded on.

On the stereo, I had the Mach 460 in my old stang and others posted that the Shaker's aren't as good. I disagree. I have the Shaker 500 that's standard in the premium models and it's excellent. The Shaker 1000 must be better, but it's expensive ($1300) - I can't imagine anyone not being satisified with the shaker 500 - it plays loud and clear, even on the freeway with the top down. I also love the speed compensated volume feature, and there's also a "convertible" setting although I don't exactly know what it does.

It's a great car and the vert is fun - no rest for the weary, I emptied the first tank in two days!

A few more pics are below, including an overall interior daylight pic of the premium trim and another close up of the dash.

Nanner time
I have the same GT Vert coming except in REDFIRE exterior and BLACK & CRIMSON RED interior. I think yours will be in before mine (build week 7-17 ETA 8/3) I am anxious to see it with the Crimson Interior, I heard it is just drop dead gorgeous with the Red Seats. Please post some pics when you get it. All other options are the same as Bob's nice ride.
The only thing I am confused with is, that the interior trim comes in Black instead of the Dark Charcoal. If Dark Charcoal and Black used interchangeability? If you look at the option list it states Black, which is fine with me.

Bob,

Just beautiful!!! A tank in 2 days?? Too funny. I just filled up for the first time yesterday....took two weeks to use it, although it sat in the garage all last week with all the rain we had. 18.4 mpg on the first tank.

Congrats on your order!! My '05 has the ICAP interior which is basically what my '07 will have as well, except the '07 will have the Premier Trim pieces and a manual tranny. Here are some pics of my '05 interior. The red is something that people on the forums seem to either love or hate. I've never had anyone see it in person and say they didn't like it though. It doesn't matter, because I LOVE it. The red interior is why I bought my '05

Black and dark charcoal, as you say Ford uses the terms interchangeably. Another of the many things they do to confuse us on ordering! And while I'm talking about pet peeves, it just blows my mind that '07's are arriving at dealerships yet there is NO info on the Ford web site on '07's. Nor is there anything on Ford Direct. Really annoying when a company as big as Ford can't keep their web site updated!

You're right about that one. I love the red interior but my wife hates it. Because I didn't let her get herself a Sunset Copper Nissan Murano (I told her I just couldn't drive a car that color of orange!), I couldn't bring myself to order the red interior for me.

Yup, talk to me next year this time and I'll have 18K miles on the car! I have actually been thinking about buying an inexpensive new or used 4x4 or pickup to drive for the winter. Do you think I could convince my father-in-law to give me his '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee????

I got a whopping 13.7 mpg on the first tank but it was a lot of city driving. I used to get a solid 20-21mpg on my '02 so I'm hoping this one improves.
