First few that come to mind:

- Ford telling us what they plan to do with SE's and Cobra
- $30k 350+hp special edition for 05 or 06
- 18" rims available at launch for GT (I think they will be)
- ductail option

And that we know it's coming before September, so we know what model to pony up for (excuse the pun).

Oh, and a flamethrower exhaust option.

And wheels like Charlton Heston's chariot in Ben Hur.

And Heidi Klum in the back seat.

And hot Krispy Kreme donuts dispensed from the glove compartment.

oh, yeah, and world peace.

On second thought, you can keep world peace - just give me the donuts.

It has been a while since I last posted – but I figured it was time to come out of retirement and dig back into the past and revitalize an old topic.

As some of my predictions/wishes have come true, such as a 5.4L supercharged (500HP) Shelby GT500 and a Shelby Hertz – I should be jumping for joy and revealing in my own automotive Nostradamus abilities. However, with each special edition that has been rolled out to date way out of most mere mortals reach (not to mention dealer mark-ups) – I have been a little disappointed to say the least.

So as part prediction and part wish - Ford recognizing that the original spirit of the Mustang was that it was affordable to the average Joe – the next special additions will and should be a Bullitt Mustang and a Mach 1. Keeping in mind that just slapping stickers and scoops on the side won’t cut it - engine specs, colors, extras can be debated later. Just as long as the HP rating is between 325 and 375 and the price is and not theoretically between the GT and GT500.

I think the fact that there are now a GT 500, Shelby GT-H, Parnelli Jones Edition 302, etc. is due in large part to the discussions on this awesome forum. I say lets keep up the momentum and start the chatter now about Bullitt’s and Mach 1’s.

I would love to see some day sitting in my driveway a 2008 Grabber Blue Mach 1 “Twister Special†with a Shaker Hood, Magnum 500 wheels, and fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror – and oh yeah…enough money left over for gas.

According to the latest issue of Ford World, a SE staged between the Mustang GT and Shelby is next on the list.

It can't come soon enough IMO!

Haha, me too! I was wondering what happened to Boomers Mustang when he wished he had one now. Then I saw the date.
